If we are looking at this scientifically, and I don't think you can with this question, even if you went back in time and killed a random person, it might have dire consequences to the rest of the world. Such as killing the person before he made the pin that Hitler wore that saved his life when a briefcase bomb made by his staff to assasinate him was exploded. The only thing that saved hitler was his pin that blocked a piece of shrapnel. Then Hitler would have died and all those other things that people are discussing such as the UN might not have been made or that the US would not be a superpower etc.... If the question is being asked, who would i kill? I dont know the name of the first person in each culture to preach a belief in a higher power, but it would be that person (s) that i would kill. So much death, carnage, destruction, torture, and futility has been done in the name of a God. No it is not just islam, or christianity. Nearly every religion, has been used as an excuse for murder and torture. Those who created religion would have died without spreading the word. The past 3 centuries has brought about so much technological advancement, mostly due to the fact that it is not done in the name of god. Dear god, America went from building its first airplane in 1903, and then landing on the moon within 66 years. Basically to sum up this answer: The first people who created religion in each culture would be the person(s) i would kill to stop all the carnage, death, destruction, and chaos caused by the insanity that is religion.

It is a tough call. Think about it. If you go back and kill Hitler the world is a completely different place today.
1. There are hundreds of millions (if not billions) of more humans.
2. The US is not a super power
3. The UN doesn't exist
4. We are nowhere near as technologically advanced as we are today.
5. Possibly somebody even worse comes to power.
Although an interesting question the possibilities of the outcome could be worse...

Hello,
We should sit back and think a little on this first.
My answer assumes you would go back in time somehow to do it. If this is the case I would say no one. If some of the theoretical ideas are correct on this regarding the fabric of space and time, there could be dire unexpected, very unpleasnt consequences for trying to alter history in that way. For example many of our parents met under circumstances because of the war so many baby boomers starting with me might cease to exist. In short you'd be making millions disappear now for trying to rectify the wrongs that killed millions before your time.

Where would the killing stop? Best not start. Better to seek to do good in the world, in the short time we have here.

I would kill no body. God created this world like this. Abrahams children killed each other for their sister, we are their seeds and we are going to do the same for as long this world exist.

Gavrilo Princip, assassin of Franz Ferdinand who was heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne. If the archduke hadn't been assassinated, World War I might have been averted. No WWI would have meant no rise of Hitler & no WWII.

Hitler imagine if he had never existed.John F. Kennedys true assassin if President Kennedy had lived how different our world might be.Saddam Hussein if he had never been we would not have gone to war twice in Iraq. Martin Luther Kings assassin also Dr. King was a brilliant peaceful man, he had much to teach all people in how we could live together in peace.but they say everything happens for a reason,so it is.
