The ones where the practitioners have been grounded enough to know what they are doing and what energy treatments are capable off.
Shiatsu, Tui Na and reflexology are my favourites.

If you are thinking to have an energy healer work on you, the main thing is the healer. Who are they? Are they top notch? Grounded, balanced, light, non judgemental? There's a lot of people who are into energy healing who aren't necessarily that evolved. Make sure the healer you go to is THE TOPS! Just because someone CAN channel energy doesn't mean they SHOULD!
That's one reason I like accupunture. No one is channeling energy through me if I go get accupuncture -- rather, they are just using the needles to enhance my own energy.
It's not that I haven't had good energy treatments, but I can say out of a number of people who have done energy treatments on me I really felt good about only like three of those people. Those three people were very evolved and had very pure energy.

I have diabetes, chronic Lyme, and Morgellons Disease. I have used a Rife machine in the past, accupuncture (which modulates the chi energy fields of the body,) Chinese herbs, and crystals.

Different applications are more and less effective at different stages for various things is my short answer.
Diabetes is NOT a very energetic illness; it responds well to diet, herbal, drug, and exercise routines.
Lyme responds partially to the Rife, but it was no longer my primary concern when I started the energetic pratices.
Morgellons is a VERY energetic based illness, and it responds VERY well initially to most of these modalities, but it is capable of adapting over time (4-6 months) and becoming less responsive for the given individual to continue with that modality. Right now I am still working with an Apophylite crystal with fairly good, but still limited, success.

Scientific research has proven an improvement that is statistically measurable (not just placebo or chance) for a person sending healing thoughts to another person.

Some people just seem very gifted at sending healing energy. If I don't have an especially talented person available, it seems that many ordinary people sending prayers and thoughts of healing does the trick for me!

To be honest, the most effective healing is sleep. Really, it's the best cure for low or scattered energy.
Next, of course, has to be a properly balanced diet, with plenty of water -- dehydration is a common energy drain.
After that, regular daily exercise (especially cardio) works wonders.
If you don't do those three things first, you're not really sincere about healing and are just wasting time and money.

There are a lot of therapies that involve energy healing. Pranic healing, reiki, acupressure, acupuncture, yoga, tui na, shiatsu, sujok, and many many more. The therapy which is best suited for a particular ailment is considered effective.
For example, acupressure and acupuncture is ideal for pain treatment/management.
Reiki for general well being and detox.
Pranic healing is for detox.
Yoga for overall health.
shiatsu and sujok and reflexology are different forms of acupressure techniques so is tui na.
TCM is another for various ailments.
Iridology is a good therapy for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
All the therapies work on energy levels of the human body.
It would be unfair to say a particular therapy is good or bad.

My sister practices chi, or TKM. www.kinginstitute.org/ Personally she's treated me for severe bursitis pain in the hip. I had two practitioners working on me at once. Each had two fingertips each at different spots on my foot. In half an hour, there was no pain left. I almost couldn't walk before that.
