It won't happen, so you better worry about other things. What the Bush Junta will come up with for the next year and a half, could be a start.

Considering Obama is bi-racial, (black and white), don't you think that he can identify with more people? He does not deny his heritage. So where does reverse discrimination come in. Does he deny either aspect of his heritage? Does he deny his mother or his father or discriminate against either one of them? Look around you. Our country is becoming more multi-racial than ever. In the future, more people will be of mixed heritage. Why is it that if your skin is darker, even if you are bi-racial, you are just expected to recognize the black side of you. However, if your skin is light to white, when people ask what you are, it is OK to say, oh I am german, french, italian, with a little irish. The same does not hold true in the other instance. STOP THE RACISM. You miss out on so many great things that this world has to offer. Who in American can honestly say that they are 100% on race? What difference does it make? It should be about the person and what they can offer, not based on race. There is no difference in white trash, black trash, latino trash, etc. Is a highly educated black person better qualified to run a country than a not as educated white person? If you want to look at race. You have to be well rounded to make a great leader.

Being that I am 1/2 black and 1/2 white... I will be totally honest... America is not truly ready for a black president yet. I for see him being another Martin Luther King Jr. A lot of white America will not stand for it... and I think it will make us spiral back into open racism. If Obama was elected anyways I feel it would very messed up for white America to assume such an absurd idea. Then that would make them be no different than the black community... "the man" won't let me move up at work; "the man" won't let me do this. It's time for everyone to grow up and realize that whether you are black, white, yellow, or polka dotted in the end... we are ALL human beings. We are ALL people. The racism card needs to stopped being played. Stopped by blacks... stopped by whites... stopped by Hispanics... stopped by everyone. This is getting really old!!! But because no one can seem to get past the color of peoples skin... we as a country will never be ready for a black president. At least until people and especially adults grow the freak up... they are the ones that are the teachers for future generations. And if you teach racism... racism will never truly die.

It would depend on the candidate .Abama somewhat intelligent has been caught in so many lies about his accomplishments would be a bad choose. I don't know if it would matter all that much as long as he was the right man for the job. From what I see as far as candidates that are running now I'm not impressed at all black or white

TBECK has it right! Oh Lord!, can you imagine what the streets would be like? And how many changes would he try to put through?!
I'm a Sheriff's Deputy and we have to be very, very careful when we are dealing with blacks. Lord, help me if a black is president. They'll claim their "rights" all the time. . . I'll have a fight on my hands. Will have to adopt a different strategy. Might be an impetus for me to retire.
Judges will have their hands full too.
Things will change nationwide.
But remember TBECK that Obama is not only black, but has a strong Islamic background. . . you might expect some changes in his doctrine and appointments to the cabinet, judges , etc. too.

I sure hope not.
If we have a black president, Martin Luther King Jr's dream would ultimately be a reality.
There would be no discrimination at all.
Barack Obama would not want any discrimination of any race if he was elected president.

No. Not if it is Obama. Now if it was one of the crazies like Sharpton maybe. But I doubt we will have a black president. America couldn't handle it right now. Too conservative....sad but true. The Democrats would be stupid right now to try to prove something with a women or a person of color. It is not right, but true.

We have that now. A black president will not affect discrimination, one way or the other.
