What is colored to you? I have American Indian and Jewish blood in me, what color should I be. I am so fair, blue eyes and blond hair a true Aryan. But my blood rules this out, so what am I? I had a friend who was blue-black, another who was nearly an albino. If I let my hair get long it is like a blond afro. So what is colored?

It's possible that these people are racists trying to find out if you're "really" white, but it's probably more innocent than that. Maybe they are Italian and want to know if you are too. But the most likely explanation is just that lots of people ask stupid personal questions.
If there's anything at all unusual about your appearance (even just being more tan than usual), some people are bound to ask you about it. They don't really mean anything by it, they just don't think before they open their mouths.
Don't let it bother you. It shouldn't be a big deal. Just say something like "Why do you ask?" or "What a strange question."

Why in the world would that make you angry? Cultural diversity is a part of American pride. There is no such thing as just white. Your ancestors came from different places in Europe, maybe even Italy.

They probably don't mean anything rude, just curious. Sometimes, people ask such questions because they want to talk to you, not that they truly feel you are italian or something.
I am a Chinese but I do look a little pan-asian, so sometimes guys walk up to me and ask me if I'm half-indian, or japanese or some other race. I take it as a complement because they walk up to me to talk to me. The "are you japanese?" is just to strike up a conversation.

I wish people asked if I was Italian. I've been asked if I was russian or other light european decent. But I'm of British/Irish/Welsh decent. I'd take it as a compliment (unless it was obvious they were making fun of you..but who makes fun of Italians? they're beautiful) and just shrug it off.

You act like being half Italian, is a bad thing..that is kind of insulting...as I am damn proud to be half Italian...you should take it as a compliment.

I really dont think the people ASKING may be racist..... you might want to dig a little deeper within yourself to find out why it makes you angry. Maybe you are insulted...but WHY are you insulted?.

you can't change people, you can only change how you respond to them. If you don't like being angry, then don't. It is just their ignorance showing.
