i cannot remember if i got that notion from reading many hundreds of sci fi novels or movies or daydreaming about spiritual matters and god but, yes, i have thoght about it for ever so long. it really hit home when a friend gave me the first of the series by Philip Hose Farmer entitled "Riverworld." I bought all the subsequent installments. If you have read those you understand what i mean. If not, go to wiki and scan a synopsis. It does a great job in a parody of what you are referring tol It deals with the notion of God but it turns out there are an advanced "people" who are able to do things we cannot dream of. At first they are considered gods, but they admit that isn't so and they also admit they know no more about God than ordinary humans. They wonder, too. Wonderful read with so many lines of interest. For me, i tend to operate on the notion that this is a garden laboratory that God created to observe and probably millions more in the universe. Got an idea there is a god and things in between god and humans andthe universe is vast beyond our puny imagination. but we must carry on like nice little hobbits and weed our gardens and try to choose good over evil. Try and not worry so much. You really aren't here for all that long are you? I know i am not. so i will grill my nice little chicken slather with kikoman and adobo by goyo on my george forman and it is sizzling and smells enticing. ice cold diet pepsi and no starchy things. thanks for the nice question. it was fun. later my friend.

It could be. If the humans, with their very limited knowledge of the Universe, are considering colonies in Mars or the Jupiter moons, why not other superadvanced civilization could have done the same in Earth say 6000 years ago and planted some species here (aka as humans) to see how they evolved.

Then instead of a god above we would have the great commander of the space ship above watching over us heh heh!

Not a laboratory but they do need our oxygen. That's why you see UFOs sometimes because they come for the oxygen. They want us to keep the earth green for the oxygen. I think Al Gore is one of them. Just kidding. There is many unexplained things in this world and some people think it is possible.

When I was a teenager I used to wonder if it was all just a test. Everyone around me was programmed to behave a particular way to gain a reaction from me and I was being judged on my reactions. I recently found out that most people have thoughts at one time or another along these lines. In a general psychology class I learned that it was pretty normal for people to have this line of thought at one time or another. Whew! When I was younger, I thought I was just a freak! Sometimes its good to be normal.

lol. i've got contemplated that concept previously, that we are in basic terms a technology test for a newborn of an alien race far extra improved than us. i've got additionally puzzled if God is in basic terms a bored alien that made the universe for his very own amusement, and perspectives us the comparable way we view ant farms. Who is attentive to. it incredibly is a secret.

I don't believe that because I'm a Christian and I believe in Gods promise to save us if we believe in Him and I do. Therefore there cannot be a lab like you say, that's looking down on us.
