I wear T-Shirts that are sometimes as much as ten years old, the cheapest blue jeans from Kmart or Target, and white leather sneakers which the fashion police tell me have not been in style since the eighties. If there is a celebrity who looks like that, it's either sheer coincidence, or HE is trying to look like ME.

because they desire the instant recognition that a celebrity commands from his?her fan / 'ordinary' people. this can be explained in a lot of ways that probe deep into the human psyche, but that would entail crossing over to the realm of psychology....so i think the teensy one line answer should suffice
any way, are you sure that ALL people want to look like celebrities ??
