i hear all about this on the internet but have not found one company that buys them...lets say i had 5000 email addresses where would i take them to sell? is selling emails even real?

search for email 'list brokers' they are the only ones who might possibly be interested, but you may have to show how you obtained the addresses, and verify that they are real and active. If you have an 'opt-in' list that you have accumulated, be sure that your original terms are not violated by the sale of the names. That is, if you promised not to sell or trade them, you can't. If your list is not 'opt-in' it is virtually unsaleable.

Sending unsolicited emails is called SPAM, and it not legal in many states.
