you have to suck on the neck to form a hickey. it just brings the blood up to the skin and leaves a dark bruisy spot on the neck or anywhere you want to give them.

It is when one person sucks another persons skin, wich leaves a mark, and some times a bruise.
Love bite is another name for it, if this helps you.
Yes a girl can get one but not from simply kissing, it has to be sucked as well.
People say that you can get rid of them with toothpaste and silly things like that, but nothing does get them to go away, they only go on their own after a few days.
