ive been reading up on the law of attraction lately, I see the most effective state of mind to pratice the LOA is to know, to feel the way you would if you achieve that goal. For instance im moving to LA to do comedy, ive never once ever doubted myself that I will be famous, ive always known its not possible for me not to be famous. I thought about this the other day, I think im going to be famous when millions fail? Thats insane right? Well ive known that fact, but its never applied to me. Im 100% sure I will be famous and have never even considered the possiblilty that I wouldnt, and I realized this is what it takes to do the LOA successfully. My subconsious is not doubting myself, nothing is......but thats because I know. So to mimic this thought in other real life situations seems hard on certain task. But am I right here when I say "dont doubt just know"?

Guru, I understand what your saying. Ive actually thought about this and looked at the lives of the famous, most are not happy one way or another. This can be said about alot of "normal" people also. I know I will not slip into drugs 100%, I know what I will do. I enjoy making people laugh, my heart is in it. I really cannot think of anything else that my heart is into. The fame would be nice for say a month, then im sure I will grow tired of it. Now when I get a family I would not care for fame at all, thats the only negative factor I can see as of now. This question was about the LOA, I was only using the fame as a example.

When your mind and actions are in complete rejection of facts and reality, most people would call that MADNESS. What would you do if you met someone who was convinced that there was no sun or sky and that we were all mole people? Why is your complete denial of reality really any different from this?

You would do far better, I think, by acknowledging things that might make you not achieve your goals and compensating for them. Few battles are won by generals who assume they can never lose. Plan and work. It's not as easy as just making up your mind about something, but it's actually been proven to work for millennia.

Keep in mind that if the Law of Attraction were real, then ANYTHING bad that happens to you is your fault (it goes both ways, you know). Byrne even overtly says this in her book several times. Raped as a child? Country overrun by invaders? Rain during your picnic? Too bad you weren't thinking happy thoughts.

'Blame the victim' is hardly a new idea, as Byrne acknowledges, but it is also hardly a laudable one.

to me, what works often in the attraction thinking, is that you start projecting, in a sense the saying "fake it till you make it", if you believe you will be successfull , you begin to act like a successful person, and take perhaps the steps a person would to achieve success,,,,, so its more then just a matter of thinking without doubting, such as a successfull comic would move to an area where there is opportunity, would practice and develop their craft, would go on auditions , would project an appearance of success etc etc, these things you would do even if you were famous in your field, though you might have others coming to you with offers rather then you having to seek them out, all the rest you would still be doing, so if you begin now , it can lead to success

Attitude is everything. The law of attraction is simply, that like attracts like. If you truly believe that you will succeed, you will. You will have to work at it but that applies to any endeavor. "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne is a wonderful book on how to focus and engage the law of attraction. There ia a DVD and CD's on The Secret and the DVD is one of my favorites. The Secret is working for me. I am focusing on my eye healing and my last eye Dr. visit is proving it. My vision is now 20/30, up from 20/60. The Dr. is baffled but pleased. So, just know you will make it because you will. Blessings on you.

Fame doesn't interest. I usually feel pity for those who have it and those who seek it.

I generally ask of people who "seek" anything, once they have it, "was it worth it"?

Was it worth it to Jim Belushi to seek being famous as a comedian?
Was it worth it to Chris Farley to seek being famous as a comedian?
Was it worth it to all those comedians who are now in, or soon to be in, or have been in drug rehab to seek fame?

Seeking fame can also be seen as a deficit.

Good luck on your journey. Maybe at some time in the future, I will have the opportunity to ask "was it worth it?"

Being famous is an illusion.
