Someone knows about australian laws here? One of my friend planning to have a devorce for her husband from australia but my friend is from other country. The reason is that the husband didn't care of assurance of support while she's applying her spouse visa because of that the embassy will deny it if it's happen soon. The question is that Is there any lawyer in the embassy can help my friend's problem about this matter? Do you think the console will help this problem between two nation diffirent laws? Thank you.

If possible, she should delay the divorce and separation until she has established herself in her new country. If he is not physically threatening, and just irritating, perhaps there is a chance, and you never know, perhaps the marriage can be saved.
