my motorola w375 was i think unlocked by a market trader?

it was locked to virgin , when i put another network sim card in it , a message on screen says subsidy password and you cant use it , any advice what to do next. do you think it has been unlocked

nope, the subsidy code is what you need to unlock it. I found a fantastic guy on ebay who sent me a code within a few hours, cost me about £5. At the moment the only way to get this phone unlocked is on ebay, hardly any shops / market traders can actually do this because they need computer software which generates an individual code for each phone.
