If you live in Scotland, which part do you live in and why do you like/dislike it?

I am considering a few different job locations and don't know where I'd like to live.

I live in England but find most Scottish people courteous and friendly. I have traveled to most parts of Scotland-which is beautiful, and I have always been welcome everywhere I have visited.

I live in the Scottish Borders. It's a beautiful area to live in. However public transport isn't that great, we are hoping to have a railway in a few years, the buses are fairly regular but it take 2 hours on a bus what you can do in a car for 45 minutes.
Glasgow is a great place to live and work.

I live in a little town called Arbroath. Its pretty boring really and the shops aren't good but 20mins away is Dundee which has slightly better shops. And everyone knows everything about everyone around here!

I don't live in Scotland but stayed there last year..in a little place outside Peebles, nice and quiet but close enough to Edinburgh if you like it a little livelier.
