He moved to MLS in a big-money deal. but suddenly the media are all over him on his "ambassador" role for the league, why don't people just leave him to get on with what he does: the football?
There's surely no shame in wanting to leave for the big money contract, plus the chance of post-football success in showbiz?

I live in the US he is welcome here.
Soccer will never take off. But he will make for some interesting newspaper stories and some TV games.
Like Pele Cosmos did well then the league went out of business.

The media being all over him is a good thing: Any publicity is good in generating interest in the MLS.
Its sort of like advertising a movie by saying Brad Pitt or Orlando Bloom stars in it.
And oh yea.... why don't people leave him alone ?? right.... why isn't he left alone ?? Maybe its because no one really cares about Dwight Yorke.
Im sure if the likes of Ronaldihno were to go over to the MLS he would generate some interest too, just somewhat less than Beckham does.

He is a big football star and Americans have never learnt how to respect people like him - So they have to find out as much as they can by flashing cameras infront of him and writing 4 pages in the newspaper about him that just repeats after a bit.

Ok. I'll tell you the right answer for this question. Well... they dont leave him alone because MLS never had a star player from europe. This is the first time they bought a huge star player from europe for big $$$. So that's why they aren't leaving him alone. LA Galaxy is so happy.

people dont leave him and his wife alone because they themselves dont let them-They have always love the celebrity lifestyle-When things are dying down the beckhams will do something to get back into the lime light,its just the way they are

im not sure about this one either. i think they like it tho. they are doing photoshoots and shopping in LA. he seems happy to be playing soccer in the US now. i hope people eventually give him some space tho. let his wife be the star and he be the star soccer player.
