If it is all about feeling better and being happy shouldn't that be true?

"If it makes you happy and that is your perception of it does that nescessarily mean that it makes me happy too
If it is all about feeling better and being happy shouldn't that be true?"

I just don't see how this could be an untrue statement when everyone thinks that the mental health and pill taking is all about feeling better and being happy you see that is what they tell you it does for them, so if that is true if a pill could do that then we would all have to be just exactly alike and like the same things in order for it to do this for all of us, follow the reasoning, that would have to be a true statement, one pill one thought means we all are alike right? Aren't we all suppose to be alike and if not then why do we try to artificially manifest it?

Happiness or Unhappiness is an individual thing colored by individual likes, dislikes, perspectives etc.

Being happy is based in part of the feeling or experience of happiness--guess that's how you know. But, to look at what makes you happy, you have to begin with what makes you suffer.

Generally, when we want things to be a certain rather than how they are already, we suffer. When we perceive things a certain way without looking to see if they are as we perceive them, then that tends to lead to suffering. It takes a clear mind to see what we are clinging on to in any kind of way to see what makes us suffer.

Once we can realize that we are suffering and how we are suffering, we can let go and begin to experience happiness.

To answer your question more directly, it rarely is ever "ALL about" feeling better--that's too simplistic. Think about this: what are you trying to feel better about?

To answer the main question: my perception of what makes me happy only makes you happy if you perceive as happy.

Hope that helps, and more importantly that you are able to over come the roots of suffering and to attain absolute true happiness.
