Moss has the most talent and is faster.
TO is stronger and willing to go over the middle.
Moss takes plays off while TO makes your team implode.
To be fair though, TO has been on much better and greater teams than Moss has ever played on. Moss may become disgruntled and complain, but he has never taken it upon himself to completely ruin a team. I think that Moss has matured especially during his stint in Oakland and is ready to be a big part of New England.
Randy Moss had an amazing start to his career and if not for his time in Oakland and injuries, he would have higher numbers than TO.
Randy Moss is better.

Terrell Owens. I dont want to go by stats because T.O. has more seasons on Moss. But Terrell Owens has size, speed, and is able to go down the middle. Randy Moss is just a tall, speedy receiver that you want deep or a jump ball. T.O. is just a better overall receiver. Argue With Me.

There is no comparison! Two types of receivers, two types of game styles. It would be like saying whos better, Barry Sander or Jerome Bettis. T.O. is a physical receiver who comes across the middle, block for running backs, push himself to the last drop and will sacrifice for the extra yards, Moss is a streak receiver that will go deep every time and give up when he or the team is not going well. Who's the better receiver? All aspects of the game... Owens, hands down.
How about a better question... Who is the better receiver Hines Ward or Terrell Owes?

I have to say Randy Moss has better hands but Terrell Owens always goes 110%, works hard, and doesn't quit on plays. I go Terrell Owens, even when things go bad he still performs...even though both are known to jaw-off when they don't get their way. Randy Moss is a distraction on and off the field; T.O. is a bigger distraction off the field, but is a consistent play maker and competitor on the field, which is what counts and gives him the edge in this comparison.

That's a great question, both are a distraction for the teams they play for but a Nightmare for the teams they play against.
Technically that's not a fair question as far as going by stats. T.O. has played in 20 more games than Moss..."But" only has 125 more catches, 1,015 more yards, and 13 more Touch Downs. If Moss were to play 20 games he would pull ahead of T.O. ( Not by much...but still ahead ) So again you would have to say they are dead tied, and go on who they are.
T.O. blocks better and he will go across the middle.
Moss has better speed and jumping ability.
There hands would .....well that's a tie.
So as my number 1 receiver it would be T.O.
But if I had a number 1, I would get Moss ( Rember Carter and Moss )
Again my answer is T.O.....But maybe we will find out who is better in the Super Bowl..... Hey " It could happen"

Both are very talented receivers with different styles of playing the position. And, both have personalities and behaviors that attract negative attention and cause problems. On skill level alone, it is difficult to judge.
However, when you consider the whole package--which is a better and more realistic approach--Terrel Owens is the better overall receiver.
If he doesn't like something, he'll complain and stir things up; but he never let's it show on the field. He always gives his all, and with that he's gained the respect of his teammates (one example is when not all Philadelphia Eagles players hated him--some where 'split', but there were many who liked him). He's a competitor and a professional when it comes to PLAYING the game.
Randy Moss on the other hand tends to gripe and complain too when he isn't happy. Then, he carries it onto the field. He tends to be a bit more passive-aggressive and will let up on plays. That sends a message to the rest of the team that one as a player is not fully committed to giving 100%, and thus "more important" than the rest (premadonna type). That tends to cause problems with team chemistry beginning with the foundation of trust in one another--this is crucial component of team cohesion.
Thus, no matter what has happened to T.O., he has always worked hard and given his all in his preparation off the field, and his play on the field. While he may not always see the big picture, and like many gifted athletes he wants the ball, he plays hard every play. Moss has the reputation and the history of "taking off" on plays. If he is bored, he may not give his all. In my opinion, that makes T.O. the better wide receiver.

Simple question. Terrell Owens is better. He is more of a distraction but, unlike Moss, his effort on the field has never been questioned. I wouldnt want him on my team from Monday til Saturday, but come Sunday and there are very few better.
And to the poster above who said Moss has gotten farther in the playoffs, i'm guessing you forgot Owens' great performance in the Superbowl a few years ago.
by the way, im a pats fan so i wish Moss was better, but that's just not the case.

Depends on the offense you are putting them in..
and we all know they are both less than perfect team mates
early on with the Vikes we saw Moss flourish because thats what he does best, runs the deep patterns and makes some good catches for long balls
T.O. does everything Moss doesnt though..he will run patterns accross the middle, he runs patterns much crisper than moss, and he does one thing that nobody gives him credit for, hes a very good blocker for his running backs, plus he just plain puts in more effort, watch some game tape and you will see moss consistantly quit on plays...T.O. played in the superbowl on a broken leg that the doctors said he should really be walking on..and played damn well
catching the long ball better perhaps than anybody else is tempting but Ill take T.O. who while they are both problems off the feild, is a much better team player on the field
and I would just add to the person who says Moss never played with a good QB...granted oakland was full of chumps, but at the time they were together for 5 or 6 years in Minn, Culpepper was one of the best in the game, so idk what the heck you are smoking..
