Isn't it a state of grace? Being aware of ones balance and position in the Universe. Yoga is supposed to help but I've never tried that. But happiness is peaceful when all the senses are in harmony. Not easy to achieve.

There are two different things - Being SUKHI (satisfied) and being KHUSH (happy). Generally people relate both of them to Happiness which is wrong. You can never be SUKHI or satisfied in this world because today you purchase the best mobile handset in the market and the next day the better option will be available there for a lesser price just to leave you dry on the satisfaction aspect of life. But if you purchase the most affordable handset on the very first day and overlook pricy and fantastic handsets in the grasp of others realising that the best has already been owned by you by the grace of God you are the happiest person on this earth.

Happiness is a choice! Often times we try to create what we think is happiness only to find that we were trying to obtain someone elses idea of what it means. In this day and age it can sometimes be an impossible goal to really achive happiness. All around us there are reminders of the haves and have nots. If you get caught up in what you dont have and neglect to be grateful for what you do have......this can lead to a horrile state of mind.

Happiness is the biggest source of suffering.

Happiness is a feeling that comes and goes. Expecting a permanent state of happiness is illogical and immature. People seek happiness because they are unhappy/sad. It is far easier to stop making the self feel sad than to look for a universal concept of happiness.

You can only feel sad if you think sad thoughts. Stop thinking sad thoughts and the mood changes instantly.

Happiness is defined differently for different people.
Happiness is when you feel, as though your heart will burst, because you cannot contain your joy. When you are truly happy you want to run and shout it to the world.
Like: Graduating from school
Marrying that one special person
Seeing your baby's face for the first time
Getting that special job you wanted
Winning that soccer game

Every one has his own concept of happiness but generally it means joy that goes to the heart rather than the mind or intellect;i.e. happiness is emotional joy or satisfaction. It also means the period of time when one entirely forgets oneself whether the person is awake and active, dreaming or in sound sleep.Happiness is not determined by whether a person is good or not, whether he believes in God or not.Infact it is not even dependent upon the realities of the situation the person is in.
