1. Yes, I enjoyed writing when I was in high school.
2. Yes, elementary and high school teachers encouraged me to write and emphasized its importance.
3. I never really 'hated' it; I just didn't bother to pursue it.
4. At the time I hated it because I thought it was tedious and not very "fun"; "fun", of course, was all that mattered to me at that time in my youth.
5. I now write for several online writing services and prefer choosing my own topics.
6. Paying someone else to do my work would not only be cheating my teacher or my employer, it would be cheating myself, which is perhaps the worst wrong any person can do. Better to write something yourself and get a failing grade than to get an "A" because you have such low moral standards that you're willing to cheat your own honor.
7. Other people seem to think better of my writing than I do.
8. Yes, I enjoy reading - and I've found it helps me write better...it sometimes even gives me writing ideas.
9. Be true to yourself. Don't cheat on yourself, much less anyone else. It's obvious you have the organizational skills and intellect to write - all you need to do is apply yourself. Writing can be fun and occupationally rewarding. Don't throw away what appears to be a basic talent you possess. Imagine how you will feel if you pay someone else to write for you now, get great grades, and then find it impossible to write as you get older! Hone your skills now so that you don't end up like Marius Marin, the first person to answer your question, and who obviously is in severe need of being able to read or write appropriately. Don't sell your ability short; I suspect you're destined to be a superb writer if you just work at it. I never pursued my writing skills as parents and teachers suggested; I gave up on piano lessons just as I was becoming a really good piano player; "fun" and the "easy way out" was always my modus operandi. Don't let it be yours. -RKO- 07/15/07
