The number one deterrent to illegals was a computer program at the IRS that found illegal and fake social security numbers and green cards.
Bush was asked by the American Chamber of commerce to get rid of it and he did after a campaign donation.
The republicans talk a bunch about controlling the border but they want a bunch of illegals here to provide cheap labor.
Republicans want this place of crawling with illegals. Your talk is just talk.

I think with 80% of the population upset over this lastest cockamaimy scheme to secure the borders I think many democrats are as upset as everyone else that the border are not secured. The Democrats voters just have a lot more work to do with their politicians than republicans do.

you must be forgetting the all the years with a con house,senate and president that the border wasnt protected,if cons were really concerned they had plenty of time and opportunity to close the border. wake up neither party wants border control

Why?..do the math...just maybe the Democrats do not see it as much an issue as much as the Republicans see it as a simplistic diversion of attention that the Americans are being duped by..while the ever vigilance is on the border issue the Republicans are stealing and destroying the country and it people's rights and future.
