I went to the local parts store and there were about a dozen or so sizes to choose from from. How do I know which size is the right size for my truck?

To my knowledge there is only one size for that vehicle, but the best thing would be to take the old one in for comparison

Just get the kits from the dealer only a few dollars more. remember you need a spring compressor to remove the door brake spring. two didderent size bushings in each hindge. Pay attention how which way the bushings are pushed into the body and door brackets. It is supporting the door that gets tiresome. When you get done that annoying air leak at the windshield will be gone. I strap the door up with ratcheting tie downs to a engine lift. or that old shade tree and do not remove the wiring or door just work on it hanging or resting on a floor jack with 12x12" by 2" block of wood some one holding the door. Readjust the striker pin too....Good luck
