Will the snake be able to crawl/slide up stairs?
I know running in a zig zag manner will slow up the speed in which the snake can catch up with you.

Snakes are ambush hunters they only get prey by waiting till its in grabbing reach and striking. Bout the only thing to do is not get in grabbing reach. BUT an adult human is outside the "prey" size range for any snake (anacondas maybe a child... and thats about it)

walk away from it slowly. show it your not a threat. dont fight it. try to lure it out of your house. then call a snake dude.

Pythons are never out to kill anyone.
Nor are they "vicous"
If you leave them alone
