after linking 2 hard disks this had happend, when switching on my pc a msg appears that says ( missing operating system ) i tried ti re-install win-xp, but during the installation after the first restart this msg appears again , i did an antivirus check there was nothing and the hard drives were alright,,, i think the problem is something in the booting..so can any body help me plz

You have the hard drives both set to master or slave.

There are jumpers on the hard drive. They have to have one of the drives be the master, the other the slave. The drive that has Windows installed has to be the master drive, and will be assigned the C: drive designation.

haha that would not sound suitable in any respect, try restarting it? because of the fact curiously such as you're on it now...? If that would not help, try going to a save and figuring it out. If its a computing device get a mac, reason i've got no longer had one difficulty with mine, its 2 years previous and would not run an afternoon slower. :]
