I know a lot of places in Vegas have these unadvertised specials, but I want to make sure I'm not irritating the waitress by asking. What is the proper etiquette for this? Also, where are the best gamblers specials?

Just ask for the "Gamblers Special", its not rude. Usually its advertised somewhere on the menu, its usually a breakfast special.

All you need to do is ask the server if the restaurant offers any specials and they are happy to tell you about them. If they require a player's club card, they'll tell you. It's not considered rude to ask, any more so than asking what the soup of the day is, or what kind of salad dressings they offer.

Uh, just ask. One of the more popular specials is at Mr. Lucky's in the Hard Rock Hotel. It's not on the menu: steak and shrimp and potatoes for 7.77. Look here:

Since a lot of jobs in Las Vagas are based on "tips".
Tip your waitress and ask. You are there to gamble. ($_$)
