and if ur not in science u might not answer

this is the third time I'm posting this quiz

for what time does static charge flow?

for milli to pico seconds...right?

Now tell me if i am thinking right-

More the surface area of a plate more will the time taken for it to flow.

Also time is inversely promotional to potential difference....right??

any other factors?

do we have a formula to compute the time?

pico and less.
it does not depenend on area as you think.and not depend on potential.

as you are 18,you should wait for university, for detail,
many concepts:electric field,random motion like wave,free charge(FREE ELECTRON),valence in metals,and...
solid state in physics,

A static charge is charge in a capacitor, perhaps between an object and the earth. You are dissipating that charge when you provide a conductive path between the object and ground. The waveform of the voltage (therefore the charge) is a decaying exponential over time, with the time constant as the product of the resistance and capacitance. You could use a standard resistor and know its value, but measuring the capacitance would be tricky.

I answer questions which appear to be meaningful, and not just homework problems posted by those too lazy to do their own homework. To reduce the time I waste, I make that judgment based on the question.

Your questions are too ambiguous to have any meaning. You haven't even been paying enough attention in class or to the book to be able to compose a useful question. When you have known unknowns (as Rumsfeld would put it), post a question. Right now everything is an unknown unknown to you. You should also tone down that grandiose sense of entitlement typical of kids your age if you want anyone to help.

To your credit, however, most students in this situation will simply cut and paste meaningful questions from their homework, then cut and past the Yahoo answer. You're at least trying to grasp the concepts enough to ask your own questions. You still need to read the book.

I think the reason nobody is answering is because we're all laughing too hard. You claim to be 18, but your spelling and grammar are that of a 10-year-old!

"inversely promotional" had me giggling off and on for almost a minute.

You mean the time of charging of a capactior? If not, pl. clarify what you meant. And how can a static charge flow?
