Don't listen to some of these jerks on here. Porn addiction is a real problem that can interfere with your life. Ask my husband. His Mom used to let him read any porn he wanted because she thought it was "harmless" and he spent years struggling with the addiction.
Here are two books about pornography addiction that can help:
EVERY MAN'S BATTLE and Every Young Man's Battle

Usually it's easier to replace a bad habit with a good habit instead of just trying to get rid of the bad habit, So find something you can do instead of watching porn, something that you will enjoy in a non-sexual way or that makes you feel good about yourself. Maybe go running or shoot baskets. Maybe during the time of day when you're used to watching porn, arrange to do some serious volunteer work. Set a goal of two extra A's on your next report card and study hard at the library instead of coming home and turning on the smut.
Don't let porn conrol you -- you need to get in charge of your own life and how you spend it. Porn is really unhealthy and teaches guys to regard females as objects instead of treating them as equal human beings, and it sets totally unreal expectations (such as how big a penis is supposed to be -- the ones on porn are mostly digitally enhanced). Breaking this bad habit is an important way to earn some real self-respect.
You could consider getting a filter on your computer (something like NetNanny) that will make it harder to access the filthy stuff. BTW, porn sites are very likely to give you a computer virus.
Keep at it even if you slip a few times. You are a valuable person, and you should spend your time doing things that make you proud of yourself, not watching some sicko sex stuff. Sex is beautiful at the right time with the right person. Don't let porn pollute it for you.
Masturbation without the porn is normal -- don't worry about that. But you need to get rid of your porn addiction as fast as you can.
Good luck!

Well there's nothing wrong with masturbating as long as it doesn't take over your life. So if you really think it's a problem, work on cutting back instead of stopping altogether.
You can start by throwing out the porn. If you think the porn is at the root of the problem, don't be merciful on your favorite magazine, DVD, .AVI file or whatever. Throw the magazine in with some rotten food so you won't be tempted to salvage it at the last minute. Microwave the DVD to fry the reflective surface. Shift-Delete the .AVI file so it fully deletes it.

Don't let it bother you so much. Most likely it isn't taking your self-esteem away unless you feel ashamed of it. Just make it more fun by doing other things so when you do it, it is more special. The best thing to do is go outside and find a hobby outside. Start something new that forces you outside. Maybe gardening, sports, or walking a dog in the park. Self-esteem is always improved by going outside... even to a mall. Get out of the house.

Theres only one way to stop! and that is to **''"STOP""**. sounds hard doesent it, but thats the only way. Stop looking at porn, its an addiction your body gets a rush, you need to stop giving yourself this feeling, because it is driving u to addiction and you will soon start changing into a w4nk3r
Look at it like ure smoking CRaCk cocaine. It gives u a great half a minuite feeling and then u regret the outcome.
Its a sad situation, u need to jut shape up and follow some ristrictions within ureself.
bottom line thers nothing to it, look at it as a challenge! wanking is a nasty thing any way its the work of the devil.
dont feel bad every mans the same including me and everyone has the same problem, maybe u should join the army or start boxing "self restraint" and "disapline" are valuable qualities

I think its just like any bad habit. You have to make a constant effort to stop it. Try a plan, and modify it as you go. Visualize yourself simply doing something else that you also want, and make a serious effort to distract yourself by doing something else. Remember that its all in your head, and it can be controlled if you make a real determination to control it.
One bad habit of mine is is staying up something like 5AM on my days off. Horrible habit in my opinion. So now I'm making a relentless effort to stop it, even though I know it will be next to impossible. I'll say things to myself like "Its possible to travel to the moon and back... is it also possible for me to go to bed on time?" On some level I really really really want to stay up just another few minutes, and that is why it is difficult. But if I just stop and look at the facts, its obviously just a matter of me going to bed earlier... nothing traumatic.
I'd have high self esteem if I farted loudly in public frequently, was ugly, stupid, clumsy, and masturbated four times daily to ladies in the Sears catalog. Granted, my choice of mate and choice of friends would be greatly reduced, but I'd just accept all that and move on with life. I'd think to myself "OK, thats who I am"... now I'll continue on achieving every goal I can still achieve, or set the bar lower and try to achieve a new goal. An important part of self-esteem is the mindset that you will do what you truly want to and achieve what you can, rather than achieve what others want and meet their expectations for you.

Jerking off to porn lowered your self-esteem?!?!?!?!?! I can't help but laugh at that. Anyway if watching porn is taking over your life then you need to find a hobby or something to keep you distracted. You probably watch porn so much because you're bored. I'm 15 and I watch porn too but I don't take it too seriously.

Porn as a masturbatory tool is very addictive.
Self control and self restraint are your answers. Do something soon or (even with a partner) you'll require porn in all sexual settings (and your partner wont dig that!)
