My trust in our government has eroded in the last few years. I now look at anything they do with suspision and feel our leaders (republican and democrat) put their own needs ahead of the American people, (not all of them but a great majority) Does anyone out there still trust that the government is trying to do the best it can for the American citizen? What do you think, and why?

The Government of all democratic nations are chosen by the people
If the people have changed their moral beliefs for the worst
the representatives of the people in Government will reflect those changes.
The family unit is the unit that needs to be stable
and in a just and fair system will always result in a trustworthy and honest Government

You reflect my beliefs that
The family unit is breaking down
and with it the whole idea of Democracy
.............all over the free world.

If we don't trust the shepherd.
We be wandering lost in the fields.
But the poor shepherd were blind.
So we just follow and going in circles.
Somehow water had been splash on them.
Just woke up with sense of direction.
Now is just rounding up the flocks of lost sheeps and guide them home.

No, I don't trust them. This is not a new thing. It's always been like this. I once heard a man responding to a similar question. He said, "I'm 96 years old and I never remember being able to trust them."
