I'm not giving you the answers, but I'll tell you how to do them.
1) To change a fraction to a decimal, you divide the top number by the bottom number. So...7 divided by 8...my computer doesn't have the division symbol. The 7 is the number that goes inside the division symbol, and the 8 is on the outside.
2) To change a decimal to a fraction, you put the decimal number over 10,100, or 1000, depending on how many places you have. In this case, you would put 64 over 100 to make a fraction, then reduce it. To reduce a fraction, you find a number that you can divide into both numbers of the fraction. If they are both even numbers, then you can always start with 2. Keep dividing until you can no longer divide both numbers by the same number.

3)Rounding money is easy. You have $4.562. Money only uses 2 decimal places, so the 2 has to go (you are rounding to the hundredths place). When rounding, you look at the number to the right of the decimal place you are rounding to...in this case, the 6 or hundredths place is where you are rounding to, so look at the number to the right (2). If this number is 0,1,2,3,or 4, you do not change the number in front of it. If the number is 5,6,7,8,or 9, the other number goes up by 1. So if the 2 was a 5,6,7,8, or 9, the 6 would become a 7.

4) Figure out what 1/16 is as a decimal. (Divide 1 by 16) Then divide .675 by this number. It probably won't come out exactly even, that's why it says "to the nearest 16th of an inch".

5) 6/10, 14 89/100, 112 3/10 You have to find a common denominator. (That's the bottom number). In this case it would be 100. So you have to take the 6/10, and the 3/10 and change them to something over 100. To do this, you figure out waht you have to do to change 10 to 100 (multiply by 10). You multiply the top number (numerator) and bottom number (denominator) by 10. 6/10 will become 60/100. Do the same for the 3/10. Now all denominators are the same, so you just add the top numbers and keep the 100. The whole numbers (14, 112) are added just like you would always add numbers. So you will get the sum of 14 & 112 as your whole number, and the sum of 60, 89, and 30 over 100 for you fraction. They will be more than 100, so you will have to reduce.

6) Anything you say before the "and" is a whole number. Everything after the "and" is a decimal. A-17.76 B-0.048. I know, I said I wasn't going to give you any answers, but this is too long already. Just remember that decimal places go...10ths, 100ths, 1000ths, 10,000ths...

1. 7/8= You divide 7 by 8. 86.5 Move the decimals by two places since you are adding a zero to your division in an attempt to solve.
2. Since .64 is in the hundredths spot you first write it down as 64/100 . Now you reduce your answer. 4 is the greatest common multiple. 4 goes into 64=16 times and 4 goes into 100=25. Your answer: 16/25
3. When you round to the nearest cent, your answer will be $4.56 because 2 is lower than 5. If it is higher than five you raise the number next to it by one.
4. It's one-inch but I do not know how to do it.
5. 6/10+14 89/100+112 3/10= Find the greatest common factor. It is 100.
With 112 and 3/10 10 goes into 100 , 10 times. then 10 X3=30 this will be your new top answer. 14 and 89/100, the top answer remains 89. Then 10 goes into 100 again, 10 times. 6x10=60 . The bottom number 100 stays the same. Add up all the top numbers together.
It's 179/100 . This is an improper fraction. You cannot have an improper fraction as an answer. to get rid of it, divide 179 by 100. The answer will 1 and 79/100. The remainder from the division is your new top number.
Carry the one and add it with the 112 and 14=127
Put the answer together 127 and 79/100
6. 17.76 Columns of numbers to the right of the decimals are tenth, hundredths, thousandth, ten-thousandth, hundredth-thousandth
.048- Remember tenths, hundredths, thousandths.

1. 7/8 as a decimal is simply 7 divided by 8
2. .64 as a fraction is 64/100, which you can reduce
3. In $4.562, 6 is in the cents digit, and knowing that 2<5 6 doesnt round up
4. determine 1/16 as a decimal and divide that into .675 to get an aprox answer
5. .6+14.89+112.3=x
6. a. 17.76
b. .048

for your own edification:
.123

1 is in the tenths place
2 is in the hundredths place
and 3 is in the thousandths place

injury each and every selection into top factors 10 = 2 x 5 36 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 40 8 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 Now count selection up the optimal form of each and every top ingredient for all numbers that's 4 2's from 40 8 2 3's from 36 a million 5 from 10 Multiply those factors jointly 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 = 720

1) 0,875 (you understand long division right?)
2) .64=64/100=32/50=16/25 and that's it
3) a cent is $0.01... so what's the closest number to $4.562 that you can write with two decimal places? $4.56 i'd say...
4) .675=108/160 so the neerest 16'th of an inch is 11/16=0,6875 (kind of hard to do without en and paper though)
5) I'm not going to answer this one... you do understand addition and division by ten right?
6) same thing as 5... but just as a hint
A- 76/100=0.76 17+0.76=17.76

As a math teacher I can't just give you the answers, and if I did that wouldn't really help you at all to learn the math, so here are a couple of good sites that can show you how to do the math and help you out. Good luck!

webmath.com and mathpower.com are both good sites that help explain how to do all kinds of math problems, including decimals and percents.
