Usually, the major rental car companies will require a major credit card, which they will charge the deposit to. When you return the car unharmed, the deposit is credited back to your account.
Cash deposits, should be returned as well, but probably in the form of a check, which they will mail to you.

When you return it they tell you if there is a problem. And, if the tank was filled up, or other arrangements were made.

Yes if there is not damage it will be credited back to your acc.Since there is no deposit on a credit card only debit cards.

yes, as long as there was no damage and you put gas in it, they will refund it right back to your credit card.
