How can people support a leader who has over 750 signing statements? ( more than all past Presidents combined)

This administration has taken advantage of the inculcated apathy and ignorance of many Americans to begin the erosion of civil liberties through the Patriot Act, to increase regressive taxes while decreasing progressive taxes, and to launch an unabashed assault on the UN rather than working to help reform it in a way that would benefit the world, including America. They are bankrupting the federal government to the point that it will no longer be able to "afford" social welfare programs. They have launched the Bush Doctrine in Iraq. Thanks to the Neocons, many Americans are convinced that the Judicial Branch needs to be relegated to the status of "junior partner".

The administration steadily chips away at the wall of separation of church and state, which serves to protect both entities from undue influence over one another. Neocon policies are assaulting the rights of workers and consumers to enhance corporate profits. Exploiting the alleged necessity brought on by their "war on terror", this administration conducts many of its activities in secrecy. Under Bush, the environment is under siege. With the Neocons at the helm, those exhibiting xenophobia, hubris, proper support for the "American Way", anti-intellectualism, and over-consumption are considered to be patriots. As a nation, America is quite near spiritual bankruptcy. Like pigs rolling in the mud, the Neocons thrive in an American culture which promotes shallow thinking, immediate gratification, excessive spending based on easily obtained credit, bellicose attitudes, and a shameless narcissism devoid of empathy.

I begin with the premise that if you love your country you would reject this administration, and its flagrant disregard of its constitution.

I don't see how anyone can call themselves a patriot and support Bush. He reeks of incompetence and corruption. These that still support him after all the errors he has made, I would have to seriously question their intelligence.

No! After all, however incapable he is, George Bush is still the president and will be there until the end of next year! Maybe, to minimise further damages, all policy decisions should be decided collectively rather than by President himself. In other words, his powers should be drastically curtailed.

Well, there is one possible scenario wherein the President is forced to step down on medical grounds, viz: insanity!

Being patriotic has little to do with whether you support any certain party or person. I personally think President Bush is doing a horrible job, but it is patriotism that makes me speak up on the issue. Loving your country has nothing to do with being pro- or anti- anyone.

But, only Bush can save America from the Terrorists. All is lost if President Bush leaves office.

Look folks, I do not usually do this, but I felt a bit of conviction, you might say, after some of the ridiculous questions I've been asking. You see, I am a homosexual zoophile. I have molested various animals (all male, of course), and I am frustrated with the world because I suffer from a rare malformity called "micropenis"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micropenis

Please forgive me and allow me to apologize and atone as I feel I have shamed myself, and my family. I was recently arrested for sodomizing the family dog, a 1.5 lb Chihuahua and am taking this disease, these afflictions I have out on everyone. Please keep me in your prayers.

I also extend my apologies to President Bush. He is the finest President we have ever had. On to Victory in Iraq!!

5 years ago I laughed at anyone who wrote conspiracy theories about mind control, the CIA importing drugs, about Bush being a warmonger. I laughed at them all......then I decided to research this stuff for myself, now I know that mind control is acheived through audio visual transmissions. Kids are constanlty being bombarded with some form of mind control and they dont know it. All this BS about emo cultures, vampires, cutting yourself, death metal, suicide, its all being promoted by their elders. By people who know better but who for some sick reason I cant comprehend, decide to lavish our TV screens with murder, crime, violence, race hate, gay promotional shows, gay bashing shows, drug lyrics, drug dealer role models, soap operas that show the kids how to be gay, how to sleep around, how to scheme plot and basically put the hurt on other human beings. WTF? Kids these days see all that crap and think its the real world, then they end up leaving their unwanted babies in dumpsters WTF?
Where is the positivity? where is the sanity?.......the morals and the common sense? thats not the America I knew 5 years ago, it has all gone downhill under Bush's watch, he may not be personally responsible for the decline and death of American values but he's doing a fine job at trying to kill them.

Yes.

Those who continue to support Bush do so knowing he has actively sought to subvert the Constitution. And they have supported his efforts to do so.

"Anti-American" is a polite way of describing these people.
