ABSOLUTELY!!!! Adultery is a violation of article 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (the military version of laws) Article 134 states:
(1) That the accused wrongfully had sexual intercourse with a certain person;
(2) That, at the time, the accused or the other person was married to someone else; and
(3) That, under the circumstances, the conduct of the accused was to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces or was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.
Penalties from this vary with each commander (most A134 cases fall under Article 15 for non-Judicial punishment, but the accused has the right to request a courts martial) from extra duty to reduction in rank. I haven't seen anyone charged with it recently, the last one I saw was in Europe in 2002ish.

if the woman is now divorced, and he's not married, then it would just be a normal bf/gf relationship, and he wouldn't get in trouble. But if either of them is married, he can get into a big trouble.

Yes, but are you sure you want that to happen to him. If the baby is his, the baby is entitled to benefits. The mother may also, not sure about that. You might advise the woman, to contact the base chaplin for advice or the Red Cross.
