What causes the peachy/orangey coloured glow that you see eminating from clouds in a thunderstorm? Any ideas? I really like it, it's great; but it often puzzles me as to where it comes from...........

The UVA Rays reflecting off of the Water Droplets inside of the cloud.

Typically, the Peachy, orangy color usually signals Torrential rains and possibly hail.

It also says that the storms won't last an half an hour and more fair weather follows it.

The light being refracted from the sun. It's like a prism. The amount of water droplets in a thunder cloud act as a prism and refract the suns light.
