What type of closet do you have.? Single, double ? One with one bar or two.. A shelf? You might want to be a little more specific.. However, to organize a closet take out all contents and sort.. Keep, Donate,Toss.. Once you've established a Keep pile I like to keep shirts (sorted by color/style) together, pants/jeans (like styles/colors), dresses/suits etc... I'm weird and like to use the same hanger(s).. I like sturdy plastic, but have gotten fond of velvet lined hangers.. Bed Bath and Beyond has them.. The clothes won't slip off and they are really thin to hold more clothes.. Hang everything.. I like storage bins for the top shelf... I put sweaters and out of season clothes/keepsakes in linen bins... It looks nice and protects the items inside... Shoes... I'm not organized with I have them in a laundry basket, however, I've heard you can put them in clear plastic bins so you can see them... I haven't done that (yet)... I also like to use under the bed storage totes for storing bedding.. If you have a low bed you can get risers that will raise it 5.5-7 inches... Just be sure to measure any containers when you buy them to fit under the bed.... If you have a small closet you can use space bags and store out of season clothing under the bed... That's good too... Good luck
