My prices aren't overly expensive from £10 for a wet cut. Apart from leaflet dropping (which takes a long time! and reaps little rewards) and advertising in my local shop how else can i pick up new clientelle?

You can advertise in your local newspaper .. this tends to hit a reasonable amount of public ...
Leaflet dropping is the better option as you can gain a lot of customers that way....
You could also ask the local newsagent if he would be prepared to put your leaflets in his newspaper deliveries for a free cut.....
Word of mouth will be your best advertising .... you could try also popping into mums and tots .. handing out leaflets at local schools ...

I would have a poster ad done and advertise on the side or back of a public transportation vehicle or vehicles. It should be relatively inexpensive get you great visibility and since your mobile the ability to reach customers from any area that saw it would have to be a win win situation. gl

The immigrants have arrived and everyone is a Hair Dresser renting a shop and cutting prices many times half of what they should be to be viable.Well how do they make money you ask they dont pay Tax or Vat and simply dissapear when the mood takes them.That is Britain 2007 style.

try notice on college, universities student always looking for a cheap hair cut , calling convalence homes, hospitals , used to be a mobile hairdresser word gets around quickly if you are a good hairdresser,used to work in a hospice at the beginning for me free of charge then they asked me on a full time basis , day centres are always looking for hairdressers .give it a try.?
