I have seen all of these movies. I was surprised by Man on Fire, I did not think I would like it but I really did.
Crash, I thought was a excellent movie. So many other films I have seen since that have tried to emulate what Crash did by sequencing different stories together to make one. . . and have failed. Babel comes to mind. . .2 and a half hours I will never get back.
The Departed was a good film. I saw it a couple weeks ago for the first time. A little violent but an excellent film.
Two films that I have seen that I think are really good are and keep you interested are: Syriana and Traffic. Try and see them if you haven't already.

Inside Man, Pulp Fiction, V For Vandetta, Road to Perdition, King Arthur, Deja Vu, are some great action movies with some meaning or at least awesome story. I think thats what these other three have in common.

May be a bit dated but the French connection starring Gene Hackman is really good. Also the Day of the Jackal starring Edward Fox (based on the best selling novel by Frederick Forsythe)

I've never seen crash, but I do agree that man on fire and the departed both kick ***.
Other great movies : casino, goodfellas, fear and loathing in Las Vegas, menace to society, requiem for a dream, lord of war, big fish, Fargo...

I really enjoyed The Departed. Its fully of backstabbing and twists and turns. It makes you say, "Are they gonna find out about him?", throughout the whole movie. It's kinda long, but its worth it. Jack Nicholson is crazy as ever in this film.
