Pretty close, though in my area there are a lot of J-walkers (and when I am driving, I often beep at them). Never seen a McDonald`s that sells beer as of yet (though if you say so and are Japanese, it must be true!!!) Movie theatres sell beer though!! The shyness seems to be wearing off too (but you are right, generally speaking, most people are very shy)!
YOu can also add that not all Japanese food is necessarily heathy. I know that is a common stereotype, but if you live off of Hokka Hokka Tei Obentos, Gyodon and oyakudon as well as tonkatsu, Ramen, Udon, tenpura, Okonomiyaki, takoyaki, curry rice, omrice, gyoza as well as mass quantities of white rice (pure starch) and everything drenched in salty soy sauce that would not necessarily be true. I gained 30 pounds my first 6 months here! Oh yes and don`t forget mochi (my worst downfall, aaaaaah!)

Very interesting. I love learning the day-to-day routines and habits of people in other countries. I found the low crime rate interesting, and it's funny how they have to embellish the news. Japanese cars are the best, too! Wish America was like that. I gave you a star. I have a lot of respect for oriental folks in general.

I give stars except following.
- Most Japanese don't have internet and own one car and one TV set
85.4% of family units hold internet (from white paper 2006).
The adoption rate of car in Tokyo is around 65%, but more than 95% in the rural area (Statistics Bureau).
3 tvs per family unit in Japan.
You can't say "most".

I find that to be 80 percent true as in a generalization of course. . .it's amazing how some stereotypes came out, if only people truly observed the Japanese llifestyle. . .I like the part where you mentioned that not all Japanese people are skinny and short, but you didn't say they weren't all smart. . .get it?? =D

You question is great and accurate with reality in it.
It's also best when it comes from a civilian (with an actual experience) of the same country.
It annoys me when some of them say and believe that they are more perfect, superior, and better at everything than everyone else. Some of them think that their tv shows and anime are better than anybody else's animation and shows. Some of them look down on others cultures and ways of life, too. Some of them show the good things about their culture and never the bad, which is wrong.
Plus,some copycat others' cultures,too.
