Inexperienced pageant contestants answer that way. Girls that know better, try to promote their own cause. the world peace answer is way overrated and if a girl answered that way these days would lose major points during interview. Judges want young women that can think and speak their own minds and have their own platforms. If you want to win...DO NOT answer w/ the old "wold peace" thing...The girls that do this have not had proper training/coaching. That will also show in other areas of competition as well..

Charities solicit celebrities to bring more donations to their cause. Just saw something on Entertainment Tonight on that very subject. The celebrity is contacted by the charity to represent their cause, and some celebrities have been jilted.

well the point is to show that their not shallow and self absorbed, but most say it like it was written if front of them, and they are readding it( which is funny, most dont act like they can read)
