Fading away

My dreams are there
abstract and created differently
You never looked anywhere
So you think there's nothing there to see

Why do you have to treat me like that?
Am I the only one you try to ingnore?
Is it because I love you too much to react?
That I keep falling more and more?

But you don't know, and you can't see me
You just stand there knowing what you do
But you can't touch and you can't feel me
Yet you don't want to know the truth

I'm falling and you dont want to give a try
I know whats the reason, what happened, and why
I want you to catch me because i can't fly
But you don't want your reputation to pass by

Your scared of falling, of pain, of love
You haven't felt it and are reluctant to
But just a kiss from me will be enough
I reach out, but you push my hand away from you

this is a really great poem, I think you should do something with it, like submit to some magazines. Good luck

I wanted to add that you have a real talent, and also maybe consider song writing.

I'm confused...don't you realize you just "published" your poem by posting it here?

The odds of getting your poem published to a wider audience than Yahoo is slim, and if you do, will pay you either nothing or next to nothing. That's not being mean, that's telling you the truth. Poets are poor unless they have a day job.

That being said, if you want to publish your poem in "print", then you have three choices:

1. submit it to a vanity press like Poetry.com, then pay them whatever they want to get a copy of the book they put your poem into.

2. submit it to contests and magazines that you find through "poets market", or other trade journals that show who, where, what and how to submit.

3. Make a collection of your poems into a chapbook and sell it yourself, or get the local bookstore to sell on commission for you.

It may not be what you want to hear, but it is the answer you asked for.

It is a great poem, as the first lady said publish it through a magazine or newspaper, or if you do them on a regular bases then think about a small book of poems.

Good luck

I like it, it has real feelings too it. Very nice and if you have more you should include them in a little book of stories and Poetry, and no matter what anyone says, in reality it falls on you for this decision. After all we are not preprogrammed Robots we are living intelligence that deserves the attention needed to grasp our own selves, the one true self that undefinable defines us.

Lovely quite lovely.
