yes of course it would. I don't know what name it would be in india as it is a french term, but I guess that promts me to learn how to use my interpritor..déjà vu
déjà vu [dáy aa v, day zhaa vy]
n
1. feeling of reliving something: a feeling of having experienced something before, although in fact it is the first time that it has been experienced
2. boredom: a state of boring familiarity or repetitiveness
[Early 20th century. < French , 'already seen']
Déjà vu once referred exclusively to the illusion of having experienced something before: Entering the house for the first time, she had an eerie sense of déjà vu. Recently, however, it has come to encompass as well the reality of repetitiveness in events or actions: As they began to discuss which route was best, he had a distinct sense of déjà vu.

I think it exists everywhere its just the french term sounds the nicest.
I heard on the radio that deja vu is actually a memory fault created where the stimulus occurs and then goes to the recognition part of the memory system that is linked to past events first before it reaches the conscious mind and because it happens too fast to time you think it happened already but it hasnt.
I think people want to believe in the fantastic opposite reasoning so much because its so surreal.
