Mobile hasn't passed many years being built. It was built just two decades ago. landline has passed a century . U wont belive but early on the calling rate for landline was 20 riyals per minute in saudi arab which means 5-6 $ a minute. so now slowly slowly the rates are dropping. Understand buddy?

Something about the interconnect rates and how landline operators charge mobile operators for calls made to their subscribers and vice versa.

It's all part of the evil operators plot to earn more money. There is no real reason why the rates should be different - they have been artificially raised so telcos can fleece more money from you.

If you are being charged a lot when this happens, look at your phone service agreement. Last time I looked at my server, I decided to shop around and find a cheaper one. I now how a service where all my land line AND mobile calls are covered by a $20 per month flat charge. So it doesn't matter now, what type of phone I'm connected to. Look into it - its always worth doing a comparison.

Hmmm its because you get charged by the landline provider AND the mobile provider for connecting to their network.
