the bright side of life?

Good question.... indeed, being positive is being unnecessarily glorified.... nothing can be greater than truth, not even optimism!!

I believe in being realistic.... look at all sides from all angles before judging what life is all about... and that certainly leads me to be grateful for the life I have...... such a rounded all-inclusive look is bound to give a better understanding than deluding oneself trying to look at the brighter side all the time that is bound to boomerang one day!!

Sounds like a false hope to me.

Obviously you don't have to look on the bright side of life. Why distort the truth when its right there?! Stay with reality, not ideas.

Coz some thorns have roses, you need a bit of rain to make a rainbow etc. You could look at the dark side of life, but why be miserable?

what the point of looking on the down side of life, it only gets you depressed and make you think of ending it all. Think positively act positively and you will become positive about life.

The law of attraction. What you focus on becomes drawn to you. If you concentrate on the negative, that's what you'll get. If you look at the positive then you'll attract that.

Cheer up you old bugger.

It's because ...

If life seems jolly rotten,
there's something you've forgotten,
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.

Anyway, it helps relieve the boredom when you are nailed to that cross in the blistering sun
