Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick are locks... Teddy Bruschi, ok... not so much for stats, but his ultimate intangibles in leadership. Especially the importance of leadership in the ultimate team sport.

Rodney Harrison?
Adam Vinateri?
Ty Law?
Willie McGinest?

Does anybody else make the HOF?

(Randy Moss/Jr. Seau not included) Although if the Pats win the SB with both these guys on their roster, Randy is a Patriot in his ceremony if he is indeed a hall of famer.

Bellichick and Brady, as you said are first ballot locks.

Only the best players must belong, players that are consistent during most of their careers. Except for Vinatieri, Law and possibly Corey Dillon, the rest of the guys were good but they were not consistently among the best every season.

Vinatieri should make it but it won't be on his first ballot. The only placekicker in the Hall of Fame is Jan Stenerud (George Blanda made it mainly as a QB). But he definitely belongs, the Pats won all their SB by exactly 3 points and 2 of them with a last second FG. The Colts beat the Ravens thanks to his 5 FGs

The problem is that PK are like closers in baseball: No HOFer who only closed games made in their first chance.

Rodney Harrison was good, but not among the best of his era. His more productive years were with San Diego and he was overshadowed by other safeties like Leroy Butler, Steve Atwater and John Lynch. He will face some controversy as one of dirtiest players.

Also McGinest was good, but overshadowed by much better LBs like Zach Thomas, Junior Seau (as a Charger, bc he's never been on the field as a Pat), Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis.

Corey Dillon should make it after 2 or 3 ballots. His numbers are comparable to other tailbacks already in the Hall.

Ty Law, he should be there. 4 Pro Bowls and he's been the Peyton Manning's (and the only corner capable of covering Marvin Harrison) nightmare, he intercepted Manning 3 times in the 2003 AFC championship and twice last season in the WC game as a Chief. After he left the team, the Pats have never stopped Manning and the Colts...coincidence?

I agree with most of your list. Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick are in tomorrow if they'd be allowed to be voted in. I think Bruschi doesn't make it because he didn't put up eye-popping numbers because that's not the nature of the New England Patriots. Some may make an argument that neither did Tom Brady, but he has the Super Bowls, and thats what quarterbacks are judged by. Vinatieri, although he's now a Colt, is a lock because he just has a habit of kicking his teams to Super Bowl victories. Ty Law's longevity and interceptions gets him a ticket to Canton. Willie McGinest probably gets in based on his sack total. Rodney Harrison SHOULD be a Hall of Famer because he is one of the best safties ever. There are other guys who are/have been Patriots that may be great players, but the system New England runs on both sides of the ball doesnt allow players to rack up stats, which is what the Hall of Fame voters and fantasy football lovers look at. If Richard Seymour can finish w/ith 100+ career sacks, he'd be in as well.

Harrison and Vinateri---absolutely. If there's ever been a justification for a PK in the Hall of Fame, Vinateri is your man. I think the Patriots are still down on themselves for letting him go to the Colts, since he most definitely didn't let Indy down in 2006. Harrison was a dynamo with the Chargers before he joined the Patriots and got the serious exposure he needs for the HOF.

Law and McGinest are awesome, but they're kind of like Andre Tippett back in the day---fearsomely awesome, yet overshadowed (in Tippett's LB case) by guys like Lawrence Taylor and and Mike Singletary who had legendary status and were quick shoo-ins to the HOF.

Personally I'd LOVE to see Tippett in---so many years being one of the few bright spots on a generally horrendous Patriots team, while his contemporaries Taylor and Singletary played for much better teams with far better pre-Internet exposure. I think he'll get in within the next few years, but not without more setbacks.

I think guys like Law and McGinest are going to be stuck in Tippett's predicament, years down the line. Undeniably good, yet possibly overlooked? McGinest is still wit the Patriots and has a very real shot of getting a Super Bowl ring this year, so I think he has a better shot than Ty Law.

Troy Brown deserves some kind of special acheivement HOF recognition for being so dependably versatile, but unfortunately his stats are not HOF caliber.

Randy Moss, no chance even if they win 3 more SB. T.O. has more of a chance than he ever did. Brady isnt Cullpepper. he cant throw that vertical ball. Moss wont have a hall of fame spot, and if he does, he doesnt really have a team.

Vinateri seems like the only one to have a shot at the hall of fame since he was the only one to really win all the superbowls and most of the playoffs games prior to their superbowls victories.

Rodney Harrison - Most likely.
Adam Vinateri - Yes.

Let me now point out you forgot about Tom Brady.

Tom Brady - Yes.

Ty Law isn't on the Pats anymore, but I don't think he will make it.
