There are a few things that you can look at. First, make sure that it is plugged in properly. Shake the wires (I/O and the power cord) to see if that increases the distortion.
Second, check your power supply. What are you plugged in to? Do you have a good surge protector? What else is on the circuit? (Refrigerator, blender, entertainment center, etc.) This may be causing a disruption. Look at purchasing a UPS to "condition" the circuit.
Third, open up your computer. Check to make sure that the video card is inserted properly and fully connected. Sometimes, thing pop out of position.
Fourth, if none of the above work, buy a new monitor. =o)

how long did you have it on ? sometimes having it on for a while will fix the problem. also, it could be dated graphics drivers. hard to tell. you might have to replace your monitor if you cant handle the quiver if it dont go away.
