It already happens all over the US every day. The vending machines are called booths at gun shows, newpaper classified ads, and pawnshops. I live in a state where there are a lot of gun owners and hunters, and while dealers are supposed to get the paperwork filled out when they sell a weapon, I can go get one tomorrow and not fill out a thing. Since I am clearly over 18, I wouldn't even have to show my ID.

Essentially, the only difference between what I have described above and a vending machine is that the guy who sells me the gun will be kind enough to show me how to load it and where the safety is, if there is one. In a vending machine, they'd have to include instructions for those who don't know anything about firearms.

I sure hope not, but at this rate, who knows?

Perhaps if technology gets so advanced that vending machines can really verify one's age precisely, then maybe, but still there would be issues there - i.e. an underaged person can just bribe someone old enough to buy the gun.

But I think that the price of guns are too high to justify placing them in vending machines, which are naturally at a risk since nobody is watching them.

Sure,, why not as technology is improving a vending machine will have a place where you can enter your data and it figures out if you are illegible to have a gun or not and the vending machine next to it will have the bullets.

I could see it in Japan (they already have beer in vending machines)...

That would be awesome... Even if it was a one time use gun...

Someone starts bugging me in a grocery store... walk outside... put a dollar in the vending machine... wait for them to come out of the store... and pop...

It could be useful.. And good for the environment... less people = less pollution...

Good question! 1 star for you!

I can't imagine that ever happening...except in a movie.
We would stand in front of a vending machine & try to decide on a Hershey bar or a gun. Weird !!!

In Japan, there are three vending machines per person in Japan, so i would guess there first, they sell bullets already, but not actual guns, allso they sell knifes
