I don't witness a lot of pain and suffering in my line of work but I do see the result of pain and suffering - in children, teens, adults, seniors.

It really is very heartbreaking sometimes and sometimes it hits close to home. It really has changed my outlook on life, and I think even more so if I had to actually witness it.

Yes. I'm a 9-1-1 supervisor. It is a part of my daily life. It has only served to make me even more compassionate and empathetic than I already am.

I am just glad that I can in some way help ease the suffering and pain.
