The aether was originally coined to explain the essence of the universe,what separated object and carried electro-magnetic radiation.
Space is just another word for it.

Erm... not sure what you're asking, but aether isn't real. It's a long disproven theory from, gosh, at least 60 years ago I think.

aether was what they called space (the distance between to points or objects of referance) before they realized that space was not empty (Newton made much use of the word); either the space between objects or the cosmos.
