depends on where it fell. I've done it before with chocolate etc. just brushed it off checked that no one was looking and continued. If it was really nasty dirty though I wouldn't.

yes, the 5 second rule and if the food was dry like a nut, I would, I would not eat or cook with a raw egg that fell on the floor
