Bad news.
You are the 4th person to ask this question I know of.
The others are way ahead of you. But the good thing is you can look up their answers!!!
Heres a start, my question and trace it back to the first person who asked.
Look up his questions, he already has the speed of the earth at the equator. You don't have to ask you can just read other peoples questions.
Good luck with the ITT project!

Right now i am sitting in a room working over my laptop. Suppose suddenly gravitation goes away. Well, all the things around me including me will start floating in the air. I might try to "wade" out of my room and then out of my house and see other people also coming out of there houses. That will definitely give us a feeling of excitement, given oxygen and other gases will fly of only gradually leaving us sometime to witness this wonderful incident. For once everybody will live out there fantasies of being a SuperMan!!
All the flying objects will suddenly start flying away from the earth as they were already trying to hold themselves against the gravity with an equal and opposite force.
Eventually, all this escitement will end when this will result in severe earthquakes and ever growing tsunamis. Whomsoever will survive by wading out into space will not survive as atmosphere will fly away eventually, and so will the oxygen.
I think the best position will be of people in the space crafts orbiting around earth, as they were already equipped to handle this scenario.
So, Maybe when gravity returns, these will be the people to start a new life on earth. I hope they always have both the sexes on the spaceships ;o)

Although impossible by the known theories of physics, if that were to happen, a tear would be made in the space time continuum opening up an Einstien Rosen bridge to god knows where.

Which`ever was it had been going in it's rotation might continue !?! & just catch back onto the way things had been going anyway !! ... See: It's not like if you put magnets on a table fairly near one`another that they'll still have an affect on the nearest one to it !?! & it you move it.. it MIGHT just move a little !?! Which really is just some indication that the object nearest is having a reaction do to a piece of a magnetic puzzle piece being removed!?! my explaination would be slightly better if I had MORE rOOm !?! OH,'well"R"r,r`r.r'r,'r`.'->-

Gravity has little to do with the earths magnetic feild, and more to do with mass. We would become subjected to extremely high amouts of radiation and the solar wind for it is the gravitational field as much as the atmosphere that protects us.

a super sort of the solutions above forget approximately with regard to the few seconds constraint. the in the earth if rather compressed via gravity so loss of gravity could reason decompression. Even for some seconds this could probably effect in 100s of earthquakes international.

A few seconds?

Probably not a whole lot. Provided you weren't on the upward portion of a swing, diving board, or a trampoline...a few seconds there without gravity you may find yourself at around 100 feet, and when gravity kicks back in: wham!

You have got to be kidding...

Look around you. Everything that you can see that is not bolted down, screwed down, or otherwise anchored in place would float up and drift away... that includes:

All water in rivers, lakes, streams, oceans, sounds, seas.

All gases in the atmosphere would drift up into space.

All boats and ships anywhere would suddenly float up into the sky.

All vehicles and construction machinery, all tanks and armored personnel carriers, all trucks, vans, and tractor trailers would suddenly drift up, up, and away.

All aircraft flying at the exact moment would suddenly shoot
up into the sky to tremendous altitudes. Aircraft on the ground would simply float away.

All breathing creatures would have great difficulty breathing, humans included.

Everything inside of houses (not bolted down) would float up and drift around inside the house.

All materials stored on shelves in warehouses would float up and drift all over the place. All materials in storage yards would drift up, up, and away.

People everywhere would begin floating in the air unless they hung on to something solid. All animals would begin to float in the air.

Rain would cease to fall. Clouds would float away into space.

All fish would suddenly float in the air, and die for lack of oxygen in a short period of time.

Ice Bergs would float up into the air.

Volcanos would probably begin errupting all over the world.

We all would float in the atmosphere and may be exposed to Strong UV rays from the sun and most of us would die due to lack of oxygen.

the world would die off because the earth's O2 is held to the groud via gravity
