Sweetie, just tell your mom what's going on. You don't have to be embarrassed or handle this by yourself. You & your mom will be both glad you shared this together.

Why are you afraid to tell your mom? I'm sure she will understand. She is a woman BTW. I think you should tell your mom and maybe you all can go out and get some pads that are more suited for you. You might be uncomfortable about discussing this with her but, it's no big deal. It might sound funny coming from a guy but, I have 4 daughters so I kind of been down this road a few times:)

Congrats! This is going to be a proud time for your mom but also a scary time. Dont be afraid to tell her. You need to talk to her about it instead of getting advice from us. That is what she is there for. Don't keep sneaking her pads, that is stealing. I am sure that she wants to be the first one to know, so tell her before she finds out from someone else. I am sure she will be embarrassed by the fact that she didnt even know that her daughter had her period. There are plenty of things to learn from your mom. Just come out and say it! Thats the best way. Do it at the oddest time, like why you are walking past her or driving in the car, or tell her you love her and by the way, "I started my period" GOOD LUCK!

hey Karen :]
i was in the same problem the first time i had my period. i didn't want my mom or dad to treat me different but its life every girl has to go through it. I told my mom, she was so calm about it. I cried so much but after a few days i realized every girl will have to go through it one day and that its normal. Tell your mom when you guys are alone or maybe when she goes out the next day call her so you wont have to look her face to face. I would really tell your mother or at least someone in your family or a close friends guardian. Improper care can lead to health issues. Im 14 now and now when i look back on whether i should have told my mom or not; I'm glad that i told her, its really a good thing to do.
Best Regards,
Katie
If you have any more questions about your period feel free to email me :)

You are just worried that your mum starts treating you differently but she won t you ll always stay her baby girl, so on the contrary you need to tell her you got your period so maybe you can choose better pads for you... if you have so much blood or not you know it depends on the flow, plus you have so many different types like always etc.. you may choose what you are most comfortable with!
You know mum are so understanding with these stuff she won t think you are weird or not her girl anymore!
You take good care of yourself and try to stay as clean as possible :)

There is no reason not to tell it to your mom. Period is a natural thing, noting to be ashame of. She can care your, tech you and help you. It is better to go over changes with a loving hand's help than alone.

Geez, just tell her!
They had to go through the same thing you are going through now with telling their mom and wearing pads.
She will see you are sneaking pads, so why hide it from her?!?

Why are you scared to tell your mum?
It's a natural thing that happens. Dont be embarrassed or ashamed.
Tell your mum so you can get some products that are comfortable for you.

I was scared to tell my mom too. Just hint around at it. It'll make it easier for you. You won't be as embarrassed if she guessed it than if you outright told her.

If you don't want to tell your mum, tell someone else who you trust..say maybe your teacher. But I would recommend you telling your mum because she gets it too! Renember No one loves you like your parents!
