No metaphysical problem is more vigorously discussed by the present day
psychologists than that of mind and body. Most of us assume that all
thinking takes place in the brain. It is only since a few decades that
psychologists are treating body and mind as a single unit called
psycho-somatic system. This led to the development of new subjects like
Psycho-biology and Psycho-neuro-immunology. Modern medicine has
recognized the brain-spine system as a single unit, but it does not
assign thinking functions to any part of the spine. It is now known that
even when a considerable amount of brain is removed through surgery, a
person can still have reasonable mental abilities and can lead a near
normal life. Modern research found that one region in brain can perform
several tasks and so can compensate for the loss of damage of another
region. On the contrary, surgical removal of some 'safe' parts from womb
of women is known to cause problems of mind like dementia. Then, what
are the components of mind and where are they located? The present paper
tries to provide some information in this line, using interpretations of
the principles given in ancient scriptures of India.
Indians put their hand on the chest when they say "I am saying this from
the depths of my Manas". Manas (rational mind) is a common word used in
India, and no one shows his head when he uses that word. The Europeans
have an esoteric tradition that mind exists independently of the
physical brain, and thoughts become known to a person through the brain.
During the 1970s, neurologists became increasingly dissatisfied
with the epiphenomenalism theories of mind and brain. More
scientists came to suspect that mind and brain were different in a kind
and could interact.

Nope, they're one in the same.
There is evidence to back this up as well. In the 1800's, a railroad forman was watching over his crew at a site. When they used explosives to clear an area, a metal rod flew up and went right through the forman's (Phinious Guage was his name) head, and tore through his brain. Amazingly, he survived this accident, but his personality did not. The rod punctured the lobe in his brain that conducts personality..and ever since the accident, he became a completely different person. Not because he was traumatuzed. Phinious was always a "manly man" but after the incident, he no longer was and could no longer hold a job. He was often angry and began to hold a strong liking for animals.
Another way to understand that the mind and the brain are on in the same is to look atr mental illness. Scizophrenics are normal thoughout their whole lives until the illness sets in. When doctors look brain scans, they noticed that the scizophrenics had less brain tissue, as if something was eating away at it.

Your mind is part of your soul. One may find the proof in the written word of God. One shall para phrase this for you > there was a rich man that had every thing > also there was a man that sat at the gate of this rich man begging for a crumb of bread and just plain help > the rich man gave him nothing nor cared > they both died and were buried (for your understanding > one means buried on this planet). The begger went into the bosom of Abraham and the rich man went to hell ( so you may understand > before Jesus Christ did His work on the cross it was like this > there was in the center of our planet a great lake on one side there were the men and women that died in hopes of Jesus Christs' coming (called the bosom of Abraham) on the other side was hell > now you must remember they were buried here on our planet > soooooo that means their body were left here, because we are a spirit and cannot really see each other any way just the suit (body) we live in. So when the rich man in hell looked across the lake and saw the poor begger in comfort (Abrahams' bosom) he spoke and wanted a drop of water because he was burning in torment > it could not be done because he made his choice when he was in his body > so once he realized it could not be done he spoke up and said please send someone to my family and tell them what is going to happen so they will not have to come to this place where he was (hell). It could not be done > because there are people on our planet in our universe to tell everyone about our Triune God. It was told him if they do not believe them then they would not believe even if someone where the poor begger was went back to tell them. Your choice must be made before you leave your body. Sooooo know that part of your body is your brain (electircity) and it will be buried here when you leave. 1+1+1=1. Simple!
