I've got a Yamaha 125 scooter ( I live in Taiwan ) and at times there is a lot of hesitation when I try to accelerate. I've been to the mechanic, we changed the plug wire and condensor. It seems electrical but just cannnot find the trouble. It also seems worse in wet weather, which is very often here. Any ideas?

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
The mileage on the scoot would have been helpful.
Check the air cleaner - scooters don't run good with dirty air cleaners.
Drain the fuel in the carburetor into a clean container.
Water floats in gas and looks like a jelly fish.
Any water or junk in the fuel - clean the carb and it's jets, drain the fuel tank, add fresh fuel and install an in-line fuel filter.

Have you checked the oil level? Too much oil robs it of power; a shop overfilled mine once and it took 30km/h off the top end and it was hopeless on hills.
