Hi, i'm a 24 year old guy from Michigan and I have a whole bunch of Delta Skymiles that will be expiring at the end of December. I have just enough Skymiles for 1 economy ticket to anywhere in the US or Canda, except for Hawaii. I'll be traveling alone most likely. Does anyone have any suggestions. Also the time I'll be traveling will either be August or December. So if anyone as any suggestions for someone traveling alone to go visit I would love to hear them. Some ideas so far have been Alaska if i go in August, or San Diego if i go in December, what do you guys think? Thanks,

Paul

I think Alaska would be very cool, I've always wondered what it's like there, its probably very beautiful!!..Its too bad you can't go to Hawaii because it is soo beautiful there! Oh and san diego is probably very nice too if you like going to the beach and such. If I could travel one place right now I would like to go to Montreal or Quebec --mainly because they speak French and I want to speak French with them! lol..and I also wonder if the culture is a bit different from all of the states...But some other cool places you could consider are..Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach (SC), South Florida, Denver, Maine, Houston....(I'm from Chicago)

Two thoughts come to mind.

One -- Las Vegas. One of the best trips I ever took started and ended in Las Vegas. We also visited Hoover Dam, Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon. You can add or subtract time in national parks per your own interest, but it's all good.

Two - Southern California. You should see Los Angeles, check out a television show, tour Beverly Hills, go to Disneyland, visit the San Diego Zoo, maybe even drop in on Tijuana. There are countless options there, and you'll never be bored.

I would go to the Canadian Rockies,or Vancouver Island. See if you can locate the magazine British Columbia. It always shows maps and things to do. I mean you can go hiking in the mountains or the rain forest, kayak ,see killer whales. There are trips using a mother ship for the inside passage to see wildlife, native cultures sites. In the mountains you could visit old gold mines, see glaciers, mountains lakes like Lake Louise and Baniff National Park which is just outside of Calgary.
Of course check out the tourist bureau web sites.
Have fun

Well, I was initially going to say Hawaii, because it's amazing here, but I continued reading, so...I would say Huntington Beach or Miami. I mean, if you want the surf/tropical thing. If you want something different, I'd say Dallas. New Orleans would be fun too, but the only point in going would be to go to Mardi Gras, and that's in June.
